Atlanta was great! We got back yesterday evening. We took the kids and the mom-in-law for the weekend to catch some Braves games and the Georgia Aquarium. We got in Friday night before the traffic and went to the Friday night game against the Phillies. It was quite chilly. In the 60s, but windy. We went got back to hotel late, but my mother-in-law kept the kids there and got them in a bed at a reasonable time. Saturday we got up and did a little outlet shopping. We headed back to Turner Field for game 2, this time with Jack. We decided to take him with us since it was a day game. We got there pretty early so we could see the tribute to Bobby Cox since this is his last season as the Braves manager. We got Jack popcorn and sat down. About 15 minutes before the actual game started, Jack said he wanted to go home. Yikes. Thankfully, Turner Field has some kid-friendly attractions. We went to Tooner Field and played for a bit. I had him about 3 innings, Craig the next 3 and me for the last 2. We left at the end of the 8th. He also ran the bases at the top of the stadium which he enjoyed a lot. I don't think he watched but 5 minutes of the whole game. Craig and I have decided Jack will not be attending any games until he is 10 or can sit in one place for 3 hours. We'll see which one comes first!
Sunday, we went to the Georgia Aquarium. Craig and I had been there before, but we were excited to take the kids. Jack was in love from the beginning. He had been talking about it for days and wanted to see the sharks and fish. We got there when they opened and we were waiting for Craig and Jack to get back from a potty break and an aquarium worker told us to go to the Ballroom. It was open that day. We were inches from the beluga whales - which we all loved - and then we went to another part of the ballroom and saw the whale sharks feed and again were so close. Both kids were really into it. If you go, ask if the ballroom is open, it really is the best seat in the house.
When they would swim by, Jack would kiss the glass and say he was kissing them.

In the Penguins area, you can go into a tunnel and pop your head up into these tubes and see the penguins really close. Jack liked it a lot.

Thanks to my mom-in-law for babysitting while we went to the games. We had a nice time and I really do like Atlanta a lot, except for the traffic. Check out my Photography Blog for more pictures of the Aquarium.
So nice that your mom-in-law came along as a babysitter. :) Looks like you had a lot of fun at the aquarium. It's so neat that you were able to get so close to the animals.
