Our Graduate!

Jack is officially not in VPK anymore!  Last week was his last week and his graduation was on May 18.  They walked in and waited their turn to accept their diploma and state what they wanted to be when they grew up.  Jack said a police officer.  They sang some songs and we headed to the gym for a reception with cake and lemonade. Our little guy is growing up so much and we are so proud of him.  He is growing in Christ and learning so many wonderful, amazing things.  The friends he has made and the way he has grown into a BOY have been such a blessing.  He was also blessed with the perfect teacher for him.

His last week of school was filled with fun everyday!  In honor of that, we decided to let him have a mohawk for the week and then we would shave it off at the end of the week for his summer cut.  We weren't going to let him wear it to church; we are Baptist. :-)

This has been a fantastic year.  I cannot say enough about our school, teachers, friends we've made and everything else.  I am so glad we get to go back next year!

Kate also had her last few days with her amazing teachers. They sent home this great book with all her laminated pictures she made throughout the year.  I love it.  It was the best thing I could have received this year.  They also wrote Kate a sweet note in it.  We will surely miss Juli and Linda next year...

Look how much our "baby" girl has changed this year!

Summer, here we come!

Littlest Cupcake is 1!

Reesey turned 1 on Thursday.  She is such a sweetie.  She also took her first steps this week.  Kimberly threw a cute cupcake themed birthday with family Thursday night and she loved all the attention on her.

We certainly do love our nieces and nephew.

Lately...

What have we been up to around these parts!?  School, swimming and general organized choas.  There are only 2 weeks of school left and then it is summer!

I got to babysit this little muffin!  She will be 1 in just a few days!

I started growing my own herbs in a big pot in the backyard.  I have thyme, basil, rosemary, cliantro and parsley.  I have used the thyme, cilantro and the basil on this little dish below.  Lemon Basil Butter sauce with shrimp and pasta.

Had the kids pics done a few weeks back and this one I am in love with!

The kids and I went to see The Lorax in IMAX 3D.  I swore off movies for a while after I took Kate to see Chimpanzees, but she did great and stayed still most of the time.  Hello summer movie dates!

Tonight was Mother/Son Date Knight at CFA.  It was great to spend some time with my little guy, just us and let him enjoy.  We really had a great time together and I think he felt special, which he most certainly is.

And, Jack graduates from preschool this week!  Sad to leave our amazing teacher and friends, but very excited for next year and our first ever kindergartner!
