Beach or Mountains?

Which one do you like?  I like both and sometimes you get to do both.  We've been the beach a few times this summer and we were also able to go to the mountains.  My mom and dad took the 4 girls to the beach and Craig, Brent, Kimberly and I took the 3 boys to the mountains!

Here are a few pictures from their week at the beach which looked pretty awesome!

They headed to sun and water, and we headed to cool, mountain air with some sun and water too.  We went hiking, mountain viewing, the boys went tubing, we relaxed, caught and ate trout and had a great time.  We made our way to the amazing Biltmore House.  The 59 degree mornings were so nice and sunny afternoons were perfect.  

Kimberly KILLED it with making the trout.  Very impressive and pretty cool to eat what we caught!

Birmingham Zoo

September is here and I have to do a little back-blogging.  My last post was 4th of July, but I have to revisit July again for some fun notes and photos.  At the end of July, the kids and I took a quick trip to Birmingham to visit Gramma and Pa.  We went to the children's museum and did a few other new activities.  But, we had a great time at the zoo!  And, we got to zipline.  It was my first time and I have to admit I was a tad nervous.  Kate seemed very confident.  I asked her later, "where you scared"?  She said no, but later admitted to some fear on the first drop.  It was a short course, but really fun.  We also go to ride a camel.  I don't plan on going to the Middle East soon, so a central Alabama camel will do just fine.
