Let's Begin!

2014 is here.  It is going to be a great year.  No particular reason why, but God seems to bless us more and more each year.  I also like even numbered years, but that has nothing to do with anything. We've been up to a lot of nothing since the new year began.  The kids are back in school and routine has resumed.  That makes me very happy.

I celebrated my 29th birthday on January 4th.  My mom treated myself and Kimberly to lunch.  Then we did some shopping.  I came home to cupcakes and some excited kids.

I also got to sub in Jack's class last week.  They are a great group of kindergardners.  We had a lot of fun and some learning too.

Christmas 2013

December is well, December.  End of school, Christmas parties, baking, eating, shopping, praying, and many other activities.  Thankfully, God's still a good and continues to remind us of what Christmas is really about - JESUS!  The kids seemed to get it more this year and we loved that.  We had a great time at our Sunday School Christmas party, an irish step musical of the Snow Queen, seeing Frozen, a great Christmas Eve service and many wonderful other seasonal activities.

Christmas Eve was spent with candlelight at church and then eating Chinese and McDonalds with just us.  It was really sweet and quiet.

Wednesday was Christmas Day!  The kids rolled into our room about 8 and we read the Christmas story.  I love those sweet moments when we just relax and can be together.  We opened some gifts and ate breakfast - Jack loves some bacon, so I obliged.  Sister and brother tried out Jack's new skateboard.

We headed to my parents to continue the Christmas day festivities.  The triplets got bikes for Christmas, as well as Kate, so we took their bikes for a little bike ride that evening.  This year there was so big time cutbacks by everyone, so the gifts were a lot less and it was awesome.  We exchanged names as adults and my mom got the kids only three gifts, and they loved it just the same.

We did the Christmas story with the kids and the Little People, well, the plastic little people.

Jack also got a Nerf flag football set from Kiki and Uncle Brent and we had a lot of fun playing football on Christmas.

2014 is now upon is and it is going to be a GREAT YEAR!!!
